Modern commerical fisheries use a
multitude of different techniques that help them to target particular
species. Many of the common techniques are the most inefficent and
produce the largest amount of bycatch, however they are often the
least expensive techniques to practice. While those techniques
that are more precise are often the most expensive and the least
lucrative.
There are many different types of fishing techniques used around the
